Take it easy today & try not to over do things with your hands. I suffer every night with pins & needles etc, stiff & sore finger joints during the day. Would hand splints help you? I use mine nearly every night, without them I get woken up several times & then have to put them on. Maybe speak to your Rheumy team/nurse. I hope your day isn't too bad.
What do you do in your job?
Rie
hi Rie, i work in a kitchen, I am cooking for an adult centre, but normal i am in a school kitchen, i work 5 1/2 hours a day, when i go back to school, i must admit i am not looking forward to that at first i think it will be hard, but i will just have to see how it goes, hand splints?, daft question but what are they? i am waiting to see occupational therapist, so may be they will help, i have been waiting about 8 weeks now hope hopefully not much longer.
Hi Gwen,
I have put some links here for you to explain splints. Hope that helps.

thank you sally, i have seen them splints before, my mum had the one you call a resting splint when she had her stroke, i am wondering if that one will help my stiffness in a morning, not as bad as it was, my hands aren't too bad at the moment but like i said i am back at work, lifting heavy pans and buckets, tins and most things that we use in a school kitchen,
