I have also got a frozen shoulder. Woke up on thursday morning ( coincidence ) I couldn't move my right arm above my waist. Decided to go swimming believing the shoulder might ease off a bit, a rather silly thing to do because it got worse. I haven't had a cortizone injection, but took loads of pain killers plus my RA meds hoping it would ease off slightly. My shoulder is only know starting to ease off after taking my Metotrex on Friday. Hopefully should be totally free of pain by monday.
Hi aoife22,
Sorry to hear you are having problems with your shoulder. If I'm reading your post correctly, are you feeling worse since the steroid injection?
Certainly we do know that steroid injections vary from injection to injection and person to person. So it can be quite disappointing if someone has found the steroid injection has worked wonderfully in the past and then doesn't work so well.
I would suggest you get back in touch with your rheumatology team and let them know how you are feeling or have a word with your GP.
I do hope it gets better for you soon
Regards
