The suppliers are "Unique rest". My problem is severe back pain due to arthritis in the base of the spine, after a 30mn session it was unbelievable all pain had gone.

Do you have Rheumatoid Arthritis or are you a salesperson?

Selling isn't permitted on the forum.

This was the result of a cold canvas call, I have never heard of this company before, hence my request for any information available. My back pain is I believe due to arthritis in the spine. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis which is under good control with monthly injections of "Simponi golimumab.I am 70yrs of age and cannot walk for more than15/20yds and the back pain is bad, following a 30mn session on the "small" mattress all pain had gone, this has lasted for approx. 12hrs, I can only assume it's because the muscles have been relaxed hence no pain, my request is has any other member got any experience with this type of treatment. P.S. the pain is back will avengence.

I wouldn't use anything like that myself because my "spinal arthritis" is ankylosing spondylitis, where inflammation causes syndesmophyte growth (bone spurs between verebrae). The risk of one of those breaking and causing problems with spinal cord or nerves is too great for me to want to have my spine vibrated by any kind of mechanical massager. My mum was also advised against using a back massaging machine because of her severe RA and osteoporosis, which could have had the same result of vibration to damage point.

I guess it really depends on how fragile your spine is, and how much the machine is going to cost. Personally, I'd stick with my strap on heat pad (has a neck collar, and waist strap to hold it on) or ice packs.

I thank you for your opinion, the vibration was adjustable on a scale of 1-5 and even on the max of 5

the "massage was slight, all I can say is that it apparently worked for me, all be it short term, it's not a cure. As far as I am concerned the cost is prohibitive, but seek any opinions from anybody that uses one.

Following my original entry re "Cyclonic massage units" as stated after 30mns the relief from the pain was unbelievable, as a laymen I can only assume that the massage caused the muscles to relax consequently pain relief. The price quoted was £1500 this in my case was a none starter but I have purchased a "small mattress" on EBay for £40, if this offers pain relief it's well worth it, expect delivery within the next 2 days.
