Only if you manage to get the high level mobility component of either DLA or PIP. Whether you get that or not depends on whether you meet their criteria for limited mobility.

Thank you for that.

Hello

Yes although now the fence has been raised to a very high level, all I can suggest is talk to GP and Specialist who may be able to help

Many thanks , trouble is you never see the same GP at the surgery, and specialist always appears to busy to talk about things.

The illness itself would not qualify you, it all depends on how it affects your life. If you search on line you can find the criteria for PIP (I think it was CAB website that was quite good) and read through and see if it is worth trying before ringing DWP for a form. If you look at DWP website it will give more information as to what they need when you ring up to request a form. It does take a long time to get any decisions (6 - 8 months) but would be back dated until the date you rang. Most people seem to have problems with the assessors at the interview stage which is what I am now waiting for. Farm

Many thanks, I wish you luck with meeting the assessor, its a shame you have to go through all of that, they treat people as though they are making false claims, I suppose some people ruin things for genuine claims. Wishing you well
