Hi, thought it was quite good - interviewed a woman from arthritis care who explained clearly the difference between osteo and ra. Also interviewed young mum who talked about the impact on her life. Overall felt it gave good picture of the real impact on lives, pain and levels of medication.

Just caught up on this on iplayer. What a faff to find it but eventually did by googling "bbc radio 4 woman's hour rheumatoid arthritis 20.5.2014". Only about 5 mins long but worth a listen.

I was very disappointed as they didn't say enough but I suppose for people who know nothing about RA it did, at least, tell them the difference from osteoarthritis. I have joined the band who think it should be called RD [Rheumatoid disease] rather than RA.

Think you're right about RD. At least it's another mention and hopefully brought it home just how devastating it can be.

Do try it, I do & others on here have & it seems to be working . I'm finding people aren't being dismissive when I use it.
