Aww I understand you. Knees have driven me mad for years and I wish they would scan my bad one with the Baker Cyst or even try draining but they won't. Hope for relief for you soon. x

My knees are so swollen also I am having steroid injections in my knees tomorrow someone else on here posted they had them and they helped is this something you could look into to help I just phoned my RA nurse and she asked me lots of questions then booked me in for the next clinic

Yes Deejojo, roll on 21st for you and hope you can get some relief very soon. xx Sunflower ... hope you soon have relief from your knee injections. They always do the trick or me but hydrocortisone doesn't last more than a few months usually. (three to four for me but it varies with each person) Steroid injections are to tide you over whilst your meds kick in or calm down a troublesome joint ... flare ups .... they dampen down the fire as such but the results are usually pretty much immediate and remarkable. Please ensure after your injections you have your legs up on the sofa or rest in bed for a full 24 hours (bathroom visits allowed!!) as to do so means the injections have the most chance of being effective. Then on the second day take it easy too. Also, the joint may feel stiff after not moving for a day or so so at first you have to often get over the fact you haven't moved much for a couple of days. You might find the injection site a little sore just where it went in but that passes like any injection site after a day or so. I hope you find you have much relief and improved mobility after your injection. I think you will be very pleased with the results. Good luck. xx
