Sorry to hear this. I don't know if you will be the same but my Rheumy said once if this third steroid into your shoulder doesn't work it's not inflammation! It's probably A shoulder problem , had an MRI and there was some trouble. Don't know if you have had knee scans but would it be worth asking him about . Imight be thinking differently from you or your doc so obviously discuss with doc, just one thing that I encountered. Xx

Hope you can get a knee scan .. no one wants to know at all when I ask for one due to recurring puffiness/restrictive swelling .. even though knee injections work wonders for getting me moving and relieving pain and taking down swollen tissue in the knee above the kneecap .. the fluid behind one knee comes right back. There is always some restriction and stiffness. The nurse I spoke to on the helpline said it is policy not to scan the knee as it doesn't show them much????? (Shows them more than not scanning it at all I said??) Also they say they only scan when preparing for knee replacement. My offending knee is not problematic in the front knee joint/kneecap as such and its problem is the tendons/tissue seizing behind it and not having enough room to bend it with the excess fluid in it. They say no point in draining. I think there should be a try at least. I argued that it could be said the steroid injections wear off but they still do those as they bring great relief for 3-4 months, but for some that I can semi understand how they say that as Baker Cysts can quickly reoccur, but to deny a scan?? I think I have damaged/torn tendons. If it is cost ... how can that make sense as they have already spent thousands on two anti-tnf's and now Rituximab. Annoying. Think I will have to pay for a knee scan if I want one. Good luck! xx
