Hi ! from now I will be on 2x embrel a week , is there any one takeing this injection 2 a week ???? O_o

When I started Enbrel around 10 years ago it was a twice weekly injection then a once weekly one was brought out which I tried but did not seem to be able to last the week so went back to the twice weekly before it failed after around 8 years. Farm

Just wondering what you are taking now and if its working for you?

I too have been on embrel 9 years. But the last few months it doesn't seem to be helping.

Its rare to find someone who's been on embrel this long

Hi, bit of a long negative story which has not finished yet and seems a very long 2.5 years trying to find a suitable treatment. Tried Humira for 9 months but that was not able to keep control either. Had one cycle of Rituximab (2 infusions a fortnight apart which they hope will last for at least 6 months) which did nothing for me but had to wait out the 6 months before trying Tociliuzimab - had 2 infusions at the proper times, 4 weeks apart but had to wait extra for the next due to low WBC count, had the third when WBC recovered but affected WBC again so was stopped. November last year started Abatacept weekly self inject which although I am in a better position than this time last year I am still not getting the same response as when I was first on Embrel. I have an assessment towards the end of May and do not know what to think as it is not enough but it is better than what I have had for the past 2.5 years, it will probably come down to the DAS score and how that affects funding. Should also say mine is sero negative inflammatory arthritis and my body cannot tolerate DMARD's. Farm

Sorry to hear you've had a bad time.

I find now I've had RA so long, I can't really remember what it was like to be without it!

I also have an appointment soon but I am a bit reluctant to try anything else in case I get worse before I get better.

Yes, I'm on Enbrel injections twice a week at the moment too.
