I am taking mtx and steroids but my hands still swell and are very hot, any advice?
Hi chook, the same thing happen to me while on methotrexate and prednisone. I am now on my third dose of Enbrel along with the methotrexate and steroids and my hands are still swollen and I'm hotter than I was on just the methotrexate. I use a lot of ice packs and my doctor gave me a diuretic too. It was suppose to help for swelling but doesn't really work very well. So for me icepacks and diuretics and just trying to deal with it the best I can. I think being hot is the worst part! Good luck to you.
