Does anyone else suffer with clenched fist that cannot be prised open at night? Is this Ra or Fibro related?

Thanks! Thought it was more RA than fibro! Was told I don't have RA even though bloods are borderline positive and still have pain in lots of joints! So frustrating!

Hi there, I had this frequently at onset of disease and before diagnosis and it was put down to RSI or dupetryns contracture (hope ive spelled that right), dont get this much now but do have severe RA so I guess the other diagnosis are still possible???. I too resorted to warm water and gentle prising, I now sleep in orthotic gauntlets and that has helped. Best wishes.

How strange, I thought it was just me, sometimes I wake with clenched fist, but can open them slowly without prising. I think I will mention it next month when I see my consultant

i had this years ago went GP and he told me it was because i had flu and it attacks painful joints. So that was before i was diagnosed with PsA .
