I have itchy shins its driving me nuts, any answers please ?
Could be as simple as a rash or complicated as kidney problems. You need to see your doc.
I dont know if this helps or not but I get itchy shins from my spinal problems however its always accompanied by other symptoms too like burning, weakness, tightness like tight stockings, pins and needles, numbness and uncordination.

Yes I do but I thinks it's due to meds because it does also cause dry itchy patches it drives me nuts to been told it's the meds what are you on. X
I've had this often during the winter in the past. I find that very regular creaming (I use Aveeno) prevents it.
Moisturiser , works wonders, it might just be a case of dry skin.
Hi Concil, I feel for you. I had this for a long time. Use a cream or moisturiser every day and it will get better. I use Shea Butter, as it's natural and doesn't contain glycerine and other nasty stuff. I use it on my shins, calfs and the underside of my feet. No more cracked skin or itching! Get it sent to me by purenuffstuff.co.uk. I'm sure something will work! Good luck.
I use anti histamine cream - which helps, but not sure whether it's allowed! Anne
Hello
If on DMARDS it could be a contraindication.
Discuss with RA Nurse

Sorry back again
If you are taking Opiate pain killers, and you try and reduce medications you can get this effect.
Discuss with GP if it continues

Yes but i dont suffer with RA, thanks anyway.
Have you tried bento ate cream it really works
If you find out what it is, let me know please. Mine started last July. Thought it was cellulitis and had antibiotics. That didn't work. I've tried every cream I can get my hands on - including Aveeno, just makes things worse. And now it's spread from my legs up my entire body and neck!! I wondered if low dose Azithromycin on a permanent basis might be the cause. It's driving me nuts.
It is definatlely. BETNOVATE. ON PRESCRIPTION FOR ITCHY RASHES WITH NO BROKEN SKIN I HAVE A PATCH ON MY LEG JUST RECOVERED FROM A FEW DAYS OF INTENSE ITCH. I ALSO USE EAURAX. CREAM. CAN BE GOT FROM THE CHEMIST I GET VERY ITCHY BACK DUE TO KIDNEY DESEASE. GOOD LUCK HOPE YOU FIND SOMETHING TO HELP YOU.
I know RA makes my shins and tops of feet shed like a snakeskin unless I use a really good moisturiser. Aveeno great I agree and have some, but a bit easier to rub in and even more long lasting is Neutrogena Creamy Body Oil (which doesn't spoil clothes as it sinks in so fast) and recently someone bought me a body oil spray which also sinks in fast by "thisworks" which has chamomile and lavender in for aiding sleep too. Both fab products.
My fault, on wrong site....! Anyway had some helpful Tips, regardless .
