Rituximab...again!

Sorry me again ! Forgot to ask if you're on rituximab, have you noticed a drop in either neutrophils or /and lymphocytes after infusions?

Thanks allanah. My lymphocytes, B cells, get higher ??? and my neutrophils drop to around 1.5 or less. Doesn't work on me the way it should but it definitely works on my RA.

Strange Marie lol, I suppose they will see just how much the difference is for you! Really hope it works quickly , when'd ur next drip xx

I was supposed to go yesterday but I've got a cold. Will be my 5th....if I go ahead. 1st 2 were useless but the 3rd and 4th much better. Really works for me but not sure I want to continue. Started in July 2008. Looking at maybe a move to abatacept. Got to talk to RA nurse Tuesday

I have on Rhix for oyear r so s not counting the monthes not been able to have it due to infections and now low white blood count for two months my count is now ok so having it again Monday but athough it working so am told but fibro taken over the pain so not notice but joints at least not getting worse.

I've just had my second cycle and have never been told about lymphocytes or my B cells. Should I be asking?? I had my first cycle in April and come October I was flaring again. Had my second cycle on 14 & 28 of October and some of my joints are not as stiff but over the last few weeks my wrist & fingers are agony. I suppose I'm asking how long before you know if it's the drug for you ?

Hi Donna. They'll tell you if your bloods aren't right. Didn't really kick in with me tiil my 5th infusion. But then worked brilliantly.

When you say fifth infusion do you mean fifth cycle as there's 2 infusions to each cycle? Or was it your first infusion of the 3rd cycle, sorry if that sound confusing. Also what amount have you been given? Cheers x

It was my 6th cycle as it turnsout. So 12 infusions.
