I saw my GP last Thursday and requested a referral to the NHS and low and behold had a voicemail yesterday to say my first appt is 1 August.

Pleased for you re NHS. Hope transfer is smooth for you xx

Gosh that's fast Ronnie - I have to wait for longer than that to see mine again but maybe yours counts as a new referral - which the NHS try to fast track in order to keep lists down? Hope they are good and the transfer continues to work smoothly for you. Tilda x

Thanks Tilda, yes I was impressed with the speed. The GP was clear in the referral that I was already diagnosed sero positive and anti-CCP of 1100 (aggressive RA) plus on treatment so I was expecting a longer wait. I have heard good things about the team and their level of organisation so maybe this is an illustration

gosh brill news x

When I swapped from private to naps my consultant arranged it as he was at the NHS hospital! So I just carried on seeing him. But all good news for you.

my aunty was a private patient for 2 years but couldn't afford it any more so went to nhs she says she has had more help and advice and her RA is under better control since going to the nhs.
