I have had RA for 11 years. I tried a Eurotherpy massager last week and it was really good. It's expensive but worth it if it works.

I've not got the official eurotherapy massager however I've got one very similar which was bought as a gift, I can't really use it myself as my grip is poor and trying to hold something so long aches, so my sister and partner help use it on my back, legs etc when I'm going through a bad time, it certainly helps my aches short term I use aromatherapy oils alongside it too and I do get some relief n bad flares but don't use it daily as I already feel family are doing to much for me, so I wait for them to offer x

Good luck hope it helps you

Same as fibro, I find these thing too difficult to hold and they hurt my hands and wrists. I don't get enough benefit from them either, but it might work for you?

Is it really £795? ?????????????

If so, then that is a really ridiculously high price for a hand held massager. There are a load of much cheaper ones out there that would probably do the same job. I personally wouldn't pay more than about £30 for one.

You're wrong. I've paid out for other massagers over the years and I bought this one for my husband as you get a hotline to the nurse who sells it to you plus a personalised programmed. In the short time we've had it we're staggered at the results. It's well worth the money to see my husband out of pain and enjoying a good night's sleep. In fact I'm just about to use the hand held part on his back as he's tweaked his back at work today.

I don't know if you "do" Ebay, but having seen earthwitch's comment about the cost, just wondered if you have looked on Ebay to see if there are any second hand ones available? That might mean that you could buy one to try longer term without the high cost (and to sell again potentially if it's not right for you). Also, I always reckon that if there are lots of something like that on Ebay, that's a good indication of how many people have bought them and found they don't help as much as they might have liked.

Just a thought.

Hi, I tried one at the modern homes a couple of weeks ago and it was around £675 and i wonder if it was the same one. It was handheld and that was what put me off it. The guy tried it on my hand and i believe it did help but it is a lot of money. I was told if i decided to buy one on-line they would have to send someone to my house as they work out a program for you on how and when to use it.

I bought one of these at the Ideal Home Exhibtion some years ago and paid £500.00, personally I should have kept my money where is was. Did'nt find it much good and ended up selling it for £200.00 :-(. Sure there are a much cheaper brand out there you can use - save you money

Bought this for my husband last week. already it's cleared the pain in his hand. Just to see him out of pain for first time in couple of years has been worth the money. plus he's used the foot massage bit and it's sorted his Restless Leg Syndrome so now he gets a good night's sleep without pills.
