Hi, have you asked for a referral to see your occupational therapist? Your specialist nurse should be able to refer you and they can supply braces if needed.

Thank you. I'll look into that.

Or physio rather than an OT.

My orthopaedic surgeon told me that it was better to strengthen the supporting muscles rather than wear a support.

I've had one knee replaced & will need the other one doing sooner rather than later.

Thank you. Strengthening the muscles is something I'm trying to do but it's hard when the pain is bad. I wear a support now and again and it does help to relieve the pain a little but it's not the best of supports out there.

i spoke to my physio yesterday after seeing consultant and theyboth agree streghthning muscles is best first andgavemesome light excerises to do xso i willtrythat first then it will be new knee good luck really light exersises given barley move lolxx
