My battalion has just wakened up!........

Battalion I hear you ask.....my rheumatology nurse described my immune system as just that and RA was a result of that battalion rebelling and partying and not knowing what was enemy or friendly fire- still chuckle at that analogy.

Well still awaiting my first date with Simponi and of course all DMARDS have been stopped two weeks now. I had an IV steroid infusion two weeks ago and never really feel that I have a good result from these, however if they help at all I am not going to turn them down.

Finally the sulphazine is getting out of my system and the night sweats have almost stopped so last night had the most amazing nights sleep- eight hours! Truly amazing- cannot remember when I last and that. Felt great, out of bed and not so stiff, ok, maybe we should just stop everything( bear in mind this is the conversation I am having in my head). Showered, dressed and make up on- then my fingers started aching, well I had done all of the above, then my knees and hips and OMG now my whole body it seems is really really hurting so thus my header- "The Battalion has wakened up"

I do send warm gentle hugs to everyone and hope you all have a reasonable day- me - I,m off to the meds. Cupboard, painkillers first on the list and then back to the sofa for a while..

Maybe trick the battalion into sleeping again

I love that thought of a battalion fighting it out in my 'innards', made me smile. I must mention that one to my nurse as she says we are constantly fighting to get to a certain stage in life that will make us feel good again.

Enjoy your time on the sofa, and I hope the partying does not last too long before the painkillers kick in. xx
