Hi Shafique, sorry to read about your cousin.

Unfortunately it's not as easy as being able to email our Rheumatologist's email address to you, we have to be referred by our GP or pay to go private I'm afraid. You say that your cousin has started treatment, does she have an NHS GP or Rheumatologist that she can contact?

Perhaps you could ring the NRAS helpline I'm sure they would be able to offer you some advice on what to do next for your Cousin?

Good luck and I hope that your Cousin improves and get further help.

Hello

If I could help you further believe me I would and I fully understand your frustrations about getting help for your Cousin. I'm not medically trained and all I can offer is advice I'm afraid. Could your cousin possibly get a second opinion from a doctor in your home country?

Please contact the NRAS helpline their number is 0800 298 7650 from the UK, Mon-Fri 9.30-16.30, probably best for you to email though as cost will be huge! Email address is helpline@nras.org.uk. The NRAS website also has lots of info and links as well.

They really would be the best people to advise you further on what to do and I hope that you can find further advice, your cousin is so young but it sounds like that she is on good medication which will help control the RA.

Good luck to you and your Cousin.
