I have to start over. Day 1 - again, but cold turkey'ing it.
Out of curiosity - who on this forum only has one Day 1????

I think there is quite a few if you ask me. And I don't think you have to start over at day one. Like Teflon said, your rules is your own rules. If you run the 400m hurdles and you trip one hurdle, are you going to start all over again or just carry on? If you fall over every hurdle like me, then you have to start all over...
No worries - at least we can count days together (otherwise I get confused any way:p).
All together now...
D..a...y...2 is around the corner!
Mario you dont have to do anything on our account, the only person to answer to is yourself.
How many day 1s have I had, I am quite lucky that this current version is the only real forever attempt I have made.
I do though have lots of day 1s that I can now catagorise as not proper goes at it
No worries mate. I edited my first post.
Apparently I have to start over. Day 1 - again, but cold turkey'ing it.
We didn't say you *had* to,it's up to you

Definitely not me.
Have had a few serious quits in my smoking life, the longest one was 18 months, and more "I'm going to stop" days where I've sparked up again by lunchtime. :/
I think Janeissane is on her first quit, but she's the only one i know of.
Guys
If you smoke-then start again from Day one-it feels a little annoying yes?
This means that when you give up this time, you might be less tempted to have a sneaky one because you want to avoid that feeling of being annoyed at going back to Day one.
So I think it is a good plan
Lets no overcomplicate this with "good plans" and whatnot - and to call it a "sneaky one" is far from it. It is what it is.
It depends how you define a quit - but one thing is for sure, you can only ever have one successful quit, and that's the one you're on now.
All previous quits were, by definition, ultimately unsuccessful.
Your current quit is, by definition, thusfar successful - and as long as you continue to make that decision, every day, every hour, every minute, it will remain so.
Hello All
I must admit I'm with Max on this one re starting again on Day 1, surely everything in life has consequences, just saying ...
i think this is my 3rd day 1
Ill look forward to counting the days with you!

Eish peoples - did I or did I not start at Day 1 again? I even updated my signature accordingly.
Get off my back please - at this rate this forum is of no use or help apart from the positive comments from some of the members!
Mario I can clearly relate to you. Whilst on this attempt I am on day 8, most of my prior attempts have not made it past day 1. You did brilliantly to stop first time round so you can certainly do it again without Champix! I personally don't like Champix as it made me weird, even though it did work to help me stop for several months. I am now using the e-cig but even that seems to work really well and takes the edge of cravings for me - without me feeling addicted to it.
Best of luck with this attempt - but don't beat yourself up too much about returning to day 1 - just a minor setback.
Mario dear friend
Do not get angry,please
All we are saying is that some of us think a quit is a complete quit not a quit with a hole or a few few holes in it. Some other people would say sure, carry on as if no change.
It's an opinion thing, you do what you wish to with LI,whatever you decide we back you 100%.
Sheesh, Max - WTF!!!! I asked the question in my thread in Week 2. People say its day 1. I go post in Day 1 - starting over - and what happens? Most of the replies to this thread - "we think Day 1 is Day 1 with consequences and and opinions and what not."
Thanks a lot for making my transition from Day 12 to Day 1 a very pleasant one.
