Stop smoking clinic - lower patch dose??

I've my appointment at the stop smoking clinic this afternoon. I'm thinking about moving down to the lower dose patch but I don't want to be jumping the gun because I'm getting confident!

At the beginning I would have put the patch on first thing, now I can be up for about an hour before I think to put it on! I also haven't been using the inhaler I was given, not even with my wine! Don't take the lozengers anymore but will maybe have 2 pieces of nicotine gum a day!

Do you think I'm ready to move to step 2?

Am not an expert, instead fo going to step 2 patches I dropped then and just went for gum instead, but it sounds like you're doing brilliantly :)

Maybe if you try the lower ones, but make sure you've got gum or inhalator in case it doesn't work?

Thanks Gemma!

Yeah I think I'll definitely try lower dose patch and have plenty of gum if I need it :)

Just don't want to jump the gun too quickly as I'm doing well this time :)

You can always go back to the higher dose if you don't get on with Step 2!!

Good luck :)

Mrs M

I think is really great that you are getting confident. Its shows you are on your way to beating this.

Sounds to me that you are probably ready to test a reduction in dose. If you need to you can always go back to the stronger dose. If you do have to, don't get upset by it. Just make sure you stay quit

Well done mrsmash,

So sound so determined, i hope the lower patch works well for you.

As everyone else has said, use the gum if need be and you can always go back up to the higher one of you need it.

Well done.
