This is kind of embarrassing really, but has any one who takes Champix found that they have become more ahem windy.
As I am finding this so frustrating I am thinking of changing my name to Calamity Jane, having just blown in from the Windy City!

Phew, (maybe wrong choice of word), at least it will stop when I finish the course, and it Isn,t just me post nicotine
Yep its definitley windy round these parts too. my hubby and I both started champix 28 days ago although it doesnt appear to be affecting him as powerfully as me lol
Oh dear...
So here is the weather forecast from auntie beeb. South Wales and the South West of England will be subject to gale force winds, with air quality moderate to poor.
No change there then?
Sorry guys, must be really uncomfortable for you? Darned side effects!
Lol Hawkeye, it's more uncomfortable for my children, even the poor dog walks to a corner with his tail between his legs. (I think he thinks it,s him :D)
Not on Champix, but I have turned into the gas man.
I always used to think that my digestive system was driven by my smoking, so I accept the windy consequences of quitting.
OMG, chimpax gives you erotic dreams...and wind? That's gotta be the most unfortunate combination ever known to man or woman
Tony, we've got to steer clear of this! Keep me covered. Second thoughts, keep them covered!
oh hell...I'm not on Champix so what excuse can I use for mine?
Life at home is becoming unbearable...the kids won't let me into their rooms... the cats won't come in from the garden and thank god I'm single cos even I don't want to share a bed with myself at the moment
At least you guys have an end in sight to your problem...I could be stuck like this forever!
On the bright side I suppose the kids might start walking to school...It's bad enough in the house but the confines of the car are truly horrendous and the poor mites can't even open the windows cos they've been frozen shut most of the week!.... Childline and "I want to go live with dad" have been mentioned more than once.
Oh the horrors of war against nicotine!! lol
Oh heck, am not on Champix but haven't burped so much in my life before!! Am glad in a way it's not just me 'cos it's been terrible!!
Same here Gemma
Not on Chmapix but the inhaler gave me awful indigestion when I started using it. Worse after certain meals for some reason.....especially curry!
Saturday is curry night (Jalfrezi and homemade onion bahjis .... don't normally blow my own trumpet but I make the best in the North of England even if I do say so myself :D)
I always look forward to it but really didn't look forward to the inhaler afterwards!
Nifty thinks out loud.....maybe I should use curry as my quitting NRT aid....hmmm...sounds like a tasty plan
Oh the nicotine gum gives me heartburn sometimes too, not nice!!
I always have fish and chips on a Saturday night, and before I quit it was a bit dodgy 'cos I'd "need" a smoke and couldn't really enjoy the food because of that. Now I can take my time and enjoy it without wanting to dash out and have a smoke or two
And how good is that
You should never rush fish and chips.
IF I was cooking, and say pasta for example was boiling away with 5 mins left I would have a quick rollup at back door, cos there was just enough time.SAD!!!
It's fab
Was exactly the same, and I'd dive out in the adverts when I was watching something and really race through a fag so I didn't miss anything.
Didn't enjoy the smoke and must have come back in reeking like an ashtray - and I'd get really pitying looks for doing it
You're right Max, and I'd never smoke in my car so the number of times I'd be standing in the cold or the rain at the side of the road sucking on a fag - yuck. Could see sometime exactly what other people stopped in the lay by were thinking, especially if I "needed" a second one
Flipping degrading really isn't it?
