Get this app to help you monitor your quit!!!

Its Called MY LAST CIGARETTE (MLC) On the App Store. Its awesome so get it! It helps you monitor your lung health, heart health, number of cigs NOT smoked , money saved, blah blah.

Its fun to use. Get it!

And no better way to quit than by stopping Cold Turkey. Dont feed nicotine with Nicotine. Wean off it by smoking less but when you stop go COLD TURKEY. its the fastest and best way and its NOT hard. I am on Day 6. Its NOT NOT NOT HARD as you may think. Using patches chantix blah blah just prolongs the pain . Believe me Ive tried it before .

COLD TURKEY IS THE SHIZNIT!

  • thanks il try that one - ive got the nhs app shows how long and cash saved

  • Ak,

I have that one I do. I hate the death count though and detest the picture of the day but I can't resist.

  • I have to disagree with you. Cold Turkey is NOT the only way to quit. At the end of the day it doesn't matter what method you use to get rid of the nicotine. The important thing is the method that is most comfortable for you. The biggest challenge you face will be the psychological aspects of quitting.

As una says, everyone's different shouldn't make ppl feel bad fir quitting with NRT.

  • sorry not trying to make anyone feel bad. was just hoping to suggest removing the fear of quitting cold turkey. its not as painful as u may think . NRT just delays the process but I agree with you, whatever works as long as people quit and stay quit its all good!

    :)

  • It was too painful for me:eek:

  • I have loaded the NHS one to iPhone which shows exactly when had last cigarette and how much financially saved.

  • I have got the NHS one too but the MLC one I think is better - definitely incentives!

Me too Una to be honest!

..but I think it was a mix of my 25+ year habit and my addiction.

I couldn't take the "missing actions" of smoking and the withdrawal at the same time....brain went to overload!

So using NRT has helped me split my quit up in to manageable sized portions.

The physical habit of smoking is leaving me now, I'm not so lost with my hands....so next step for me is to reduce the NRT

Glad cold turkey is working for you ak, I knew you could do it.

    .

I can beat you on that one. I was stupid enough to smoke for 50 years

  • You're welcome to that victory Una :p
