I'm not sure what exactly your asking, but at a guess I think what your wanting to know is how Champix works on the receptors re nicotine craves?

There's is so much info on here re Champix ....... or just google it until someone comes along and explains.

Best I can offer is that whilst it reduces the urge, it is still up to you to not smoke. It helps, you do the rest....with the help.

There are some great Champix threads about, not sure where currently.

I hope you can find them and feel reassured.

Hi Emma

Must admit the time I quit with Champix was the easiest and most successful quit I've ever managed however......the side effects for me were awful :(:(

It works by altering the nicotine receptors in your brain which made me less want to smoke and when I did smoke it tasted absolutely foul to the point of making me feel sick. You do need to be strong and not smoke.

I tried again with Champix in March but couldn't cope with the side effects, very common is feeling sick but last time I got very badly depressed on them as was told to stop them.

Anyway - sorry for going on and hope I answered some of your questions!
