Just joined as I'm finding it quite tough at the moment and It'd be nice to speak to people in the same boat
On day 14 of Champix, day 3 of quit. Feeling really agitated and finding it hard to stay still. Taking it out on the hoover and wardrobes at the moment. My house has never been so clean  Appetite is pretty non existent too.
I've got an evil little nicotine monkey sitting on my shoulder telling me to go to the shop and buy some cigs:eek:. I know it'd make the banging headache and agitation go away!
HELP!

you need to drink pleanty of ice cold water and try the deep breathing, that is what got me through yesterday......It will get easier or so I am told lol. Just keep reminding yourself why you are doing it.
Hi Dolly, have you got any thing really nasty you can feed that horrid prince nicodemon sitting on your shoulder.
He has no love for you and more than anything he would love to see you give in and smoke but then once he has tempted you he will leave it too the other smaller nicodemons in your head to keep you a smoker and he will be off to sit on someone elses shoulder and try and tempt them, he is a right bas**** but you must not give in to him, he doesnt like iced water so sip that, he doesnt like exercise so do that, he doesnt like you breathing in fresh air so do that there are so many things he doesnt like in fact there is only one thing he does like and that is smoking.
So the only way to get rid of him is show him you are strong and can do without nicotine.
You have chosen not to smoke and you wouldnt be on here if you didnt want to quit so stay strong and check out the fun threads as well it keeps your attention on other things good luck.

I am a newbie to this forum. I am currently on Champix started about 10 days ago. Was supposed to quit smoking around day 14, but quit only after 4days of the champix. I tried to have a smoke but felt so sick. I have had some minor side effects like vivid dreams, sleep not as great, and nausea, which has gotten better since a freind told me to take a half hour after eating and with full glass of water. I would love to hear other stories.
Hi all on Champix have not smoked for 8 days finding it hard but will not give in.I have tryed quite a few time but never gone this long .Been smoking a lot of years and a lot of cigs 250 two 300 a week cant believe in the time i have been on Champix i have saved quite a bit of money breathing better. The craving comes fast but dont last that long then i am fine for awhile.I will not smoke any more just hope it get's better and the craving get's less.So good luck to all it's nice to know in a funny sort of way that other's are feeling the same means we are not alone.
Well done on your quit. Champix is a great help - but that's all it is - a help - you still have to do some work yourself. It is hard at first as it seems sort of 'unnatural' not to have a cigarette, but it does get easier. It's a matter of retraining yourself not to want a cigarette, or, more importantly, feel that you should be having one.
Hang on through the cravings and thoughts of smoking, with each one that passes, they get less strong and less frequent.
Now on day 9 of not not smoking!!! The side effects of the Champix seem to have gotten much better. I still have no desire to smoke. Just afraid of what happens when I come off the drug?
