Those that were around in Feb may remember that my brother in law had an operation to remove a brain tumour, which subsequently was found to be malignant.
Well following chemo and radio therapy, he's back in hospital and an MRI scan show that its grown back.
He can't undergo any more radio therapy, and short of cutting it out each time it grows back there isn't much more they can do.
I don't know whether we are talking weeks, months or years, yet but certainly the optimistic 6-10 year prediction seems to be out of the window now.
Really gutted and angry right now, but don't feel like smoking either.
Life can be so f##king unfair.

I am so sorry about your bad news. I had cancer 13 years ago at the age of 35 but I was one of the lucky ones, caught it in time. Had op, chemo & radio therapy. I really don't know what to say to you as when it gets to the point that there is nothing more to be done, what can you say. Enjoy all the time you can together.
Nic, So sorry to hear about your brother in law. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I am glad that you didn't smoke, but I know you are a strong person and have no doubt that you will be fine. Spend as much time as you can with your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
So very sorry to hear this my soninlaws uncle have been told exact same thing last week. lifes a bitch sometimes and pray for him and your family.xxxxx
You've been such an inspiration to so many on this forum it's just not fair that you've now got this to deal with.
My thoughts and best wishes to you and your family at this awful time-try and take some comfort from the fact that you've helped so many on here and that even this dreadful news hasn't weakened your resolve.
Sorry to hear that mate. You're right, life certainly can be very unfair. Awful thing to happen to anyone. Good idea using the forum to have a rant, as you've said there's not much anyone can say really but it just helps to vent sometimes.
All the very best with getting through this difficult time.
