Day 5 ...

Hey everyone,

So yesterday was absolutely hellish. It was a bad day from start to finish. I woke up needing a cigarette and went to bed needing one. But I didn't smoke and thats only thanks to my boyfriend as he is staying really strong. I cried a lot pretty much over nothing, stomped around because I couldnt find something I wanted in Tesco and sulked for the whole evening. Was an absolute nightmare. Today is much better though, besides from being tired after all the hysteria yesterday.

So after I calmed down last night my boyfriend told me this story he heard about smoking and now I'm sure I can never smoke again... apparently in Marlboro lights (my brand of choice) there is fiber glass which makes them taste lighter... anyway when you smoke just one ML the fiber glass makes your lungs bleed internally for five minutes! How vile! Not sure if its true, it wouldnt surprise me if it was. Anyway after hearing that it nearly made me sick! And now I definitly wont crack any time soon.

It is only midday but so far today is a lot better then day 4. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Lou x

That's a very telling phrase.

The bad days are soon outnumbered by good ones, and it will quickly get to the point where you won't even remember the bad ones.

I know it's tough in the beginning, but it really does get a lot easier very quickly. You're doing great, so just keep going :D

Stay on The Train

Louise,

You can do it, nearly a week and we have lasted this long so can't give up. You encouraged me on day 3 so hope my good wishes will help you through now. I nearly had a hic cup tonight (read my thread) but after reading the postings here with their encouragement and good sense it made me feel a real jerk. I can identify with your "tantrum" in Tesco, you should have seen my tantrum tonight! You'd think at my age I'd be more mature - ha ha!! You and your boyfriend are doing real well and once the first week is over I'm sure it will slowly get better. Keep in touch. Regards Jay :)
