Smoking Trap 4

Good morning fellow non smokers, day 4 has arrived for me and this time round its been so easy. I have come to realise very quickly that I am so disappointed with the doctors and so called smoking nurses as they need to come out of the dark ages with helping people to stop smoking.

My last smoking nurse didnt tackle the main problem that all smokers need to know. That is why they smoke and the trap they are in within their own minds. With this knowledge quitting this time round has been a no brainer and remarkably easy with no subsitutes. This time round I havent bothered going to the doctors or smoking nurse as I honestly believe they are a waste of space and have no clue about helping people with the root of smoking.

There are many treatments they can perscribe, patches, inhalers, champix, gum but they are not dealing with the problem. I have never understood and personally never been happy quitting smoking by substituting it with another product. I know it helps alot of people become free but I honestly believe if people were educated about the smoking trap these products would cease to exist. When people understand the mental trap it is very easy to stop with minimum effects and you will be suprised how easy it is.

I have over the last 4 days contacted many people I know that smoke still now and others that are now smoke free. Upon speaking to the smokers it is so blatant that they do not understand the smoking trap and same lame excuses for still smoking pass their lips. The same excuses I used to use and am sure many people use. Then I spoke to non smokers, interestingly there are 2 groups. The first group are the people that have quit using willpower alone and still to this day get cravings and miss smoking at times. Then there are the non smokers that used kowledge to understand the trap they were in and they dont get cravings and are so glad and happy about being non smokers and would never return.

So in conclusion I am not knocking people that use substitutes, my fatherinlaw used them recently and it worked for him. He is now smoke free. But I firmly believe if doctors and smoking nurses started to tell the smoker about the trap and for the smoker to start to question themselves then I am 100% confident it would help alot of people quit first time with less hassle. Knowledge is power to escape with ease.

If I knew what I know now I could have been smoke free for years by now as I never understood the trap. Oh well I am now.

Thanks for listening.

Some great stuff there mate, glad you have seen the light.

Quitting is in my opinion a journey, I think that in order to fully understand the trap, as you put it, the failed attempts have to be there in the past!

Maybe if there was better information around I would not have had quite so many failed attempts, but the previous difficulty I have had has reinforced my resolve on this, my true quit!

All the best with it.
