Looking for Other alt options for FNHL

Was diagnosed in 2009 with Stg 4 FNHL (age 42) with 3 B symptoms. Did R-Chop and was clear after 3 treatments but did a total of 6.. no radiation needed, but ended up with neuropathy in my smaller muscles and short term memory issues. It came back 4.5 years later and opted to go to Alt Treatment in Mexico. It was cleared and didn’t come back for 7 years. Recently went back to Mexico but next scan showed non-growth but no reduction. I’m currently doing Hyperbaric chamber, acupuncture, and taking IP6 as alt treatment. I also use a far-infrared hearing pad to help with heat penetration and occasional ionic foot baths. Looking for other things people may have tried that worked. Considering the impact of first r-chop and I’m allergic to Rituxin, chemo will be a last option. Been diet conscience since my mid 20’s due to Chronic psoriasis.

Hello. Here are some things you could consider:

- Cold therapy. This could be as simple as turning your shower to fully cold at the end. Start off with 20 seconds and slowly build up to 2 minutes. Cold therapy can potentially increase 'brown fat' in the body and boost your immune system.

- Breathing exercises. Good for reducing stress and systemic inflammation.

Check out the first 2 pillars of the 'Wim Hof method'. There is plenty of the material on the internet regarding this. Just don't do the breath work while in water.

- Exercise. Good for most ailments.

- Plenty of good quality sleep.

- Sun exposure. There's more to it than just Vitamin D (although I do recommend supplementing in the winter depending on your latitude).

- Prolonged (water only) fasting. It is not for everyone and it's probably too big an ask to jump straight into this if you are used to regular meals. You could consider becoming 'fat adapted' first by adopting a low carb/ketogenic diet and then trying time restricted eating. Decrease your eating window gradually by dropping to 2 meals a day and then 1 meal a day. Once comfortable with this you can then try longer fasts to increase the benefits of autophagy (cellular recycling). Prolonged fasting isn't fun but I believe easing yourself into it makes it much less taxing.

Longer fasts (5+ days) are more beneficial and there are potentially synergistic benefits when combined with chemotherapy treatment (in theory healthy cells go into survival hibernation mode when fasting while cancer cells disobey this command and are more prone to be adversely affected by the chemo). The amount (both frequency and length of each fast) will depend on your will power and your body fat reserves. If considering this approach I suggest taking it slowly and do lots of research and/or seek the guidance of an experienced health practitioner.

Best thing is that all of these things are free but that does mean there is no money to be made in conducting the appropriate research to find out if they actually work or not. Despite this there are plenty of 'gurus' on the internet who have lots of suggestions for making these techniques work for you.

Good luck 😀
