Night sweats

I have been in remission for almost two years and recently the night sweats have started again. I'm due for a 6 month check up with my oncologist in October. I'm thinking I should call for an appointment before October. I have no other symptoms. Any input would be appreciated.

If it's going to give you peace of mind I would look for an earlier appointment. Stress is not helpful in maintaining wellness so has to be considered as a valid reason to get checked out.

You should consider making an appointment with your oncologist now for blood tests instead of waiting until October. If nothing shows up you won’t have the stress of worrying for 3 months. Good luck!

May I ask how old you are? Is there a chance of perimenapause or full blown menapause? I went to doc for those symptoms turned up in blood work months later I had NHL

I'm past the menopause stage. I'm 77 years old. At 39 years old I had a complete hysterectomy so I was put into an early menopause state.

I think it's always best to follow your gut instinct about these things. I'm curious, though, about your comment about night sweats . I didn't have that as a symptom, but was in menopause prior to my diagnosis in 2015, but no night sweats. I am certainly very warm, but not what I would call night sweats as they are normally defined. Are you thinking that night sweats are a symptom of a return of the disease?

Not everyone gets them. The symptoms vary from person to person. I actually didn't have any symptoms when I was diagnosed. I had a routine check up with my primary care doctor, with bloodwork. She found my white count high. Waited a week and did more bloodwork. I was then sent to an oncologist. This was back in 2012. Put on Watch and Wait until 2016. Then infusions of Rituxan. August 17th I will be in remission 2 years.

Yeah I have none of the usual symptoms like sweats, fatigue, sore bones, itching etc. Blood work is fine also. Only enlarged nodes, so I'm on watch and wait.

I experienced fatigue after my white counts got higher before treatments. That was about the only symptom until after treatment. I was on Watch and Wait for 4.5 years before treatments. The night sweats I'm experiencing now are recent.

Yes I think I am ok right now even though I have enlarged nodes. I am going to try cbd oil after I consult with oncologist in September.
