Has anyone had their Vit D levels tested since diagnosis? I intend to ask my oncologist about that at my next appointment as I'm reluctant to take a supplement if not needed. I wonder has Vit D status any relevance for the development of NHL?

Vitamin D and NHL
My vitamin D has been low for a while I take 2,000 a day and sometime take double the dose....its been low before I got diagnosed also.
I also take supplements of Iodine since ive read that Iodine help lymphoma....
My vitamin d was low for a decade before my diagnosis, as low as 12 when normal started at 40. I think there must be some correlating absorption problem
My primary care doctor checked my Vitamin D level and it was low. He prescribed Vitamin D 2000 IU a day. Honestly I don't know if there is a correlation with NHL. So many people are deficient these days. I was under a lot of stress, sleep deprived and eating poorly and feel that could have influenced the disease.
Yes all of the other things you mentioned - stress, sleep deprivation and poor diet applied to me too. I think I was lazy about my diet because I was lucky enough to maintain normal weight while eating quite a lot of carbs which I now know was not good at all. There seems to be a greater incidence of FNHL in the Northern hemisphere so maybe less Vit D plays a role too.
I had mine checked after diagnosis and I was really low. I've been on the therapeutic dose once a week along with multivitamin for a couple years now and I still run low but I'm within normal limits with the therapeutic dose. Low in the range. When I got a new doctor she prescribed a therapeutic dose before she saw I was already on a therapeutic dose. Lol
I haven't had my Vit.D levels tested, but I've been taking vitamin D supplements for years, even before the NHL diagnosis. It always made me feel better, so I kept it up. I've told the Hematology Clinic nurse about it and she didn't comment, so I figured it wasn't a concern. It would be good to know, though, whether it is something to do...or to avoid. Keep us posted if you hear anything definitive.
We live in Northern Virginia. My wife's Vitamin D was 33.6 ng/mL (normal range is 12-80). Her oncologist/hematologist prescribed Vitamin D 400 IU/day. I've read that this "normal range" is too low - anyone have any info on what is should be?
My vit D was extremely low i now take a daily supplement
I had to request a blood test for vit D
