In 2002 I was diagnosed with stage 3 Gall bladder cancer after having a stone in my gall bladder and having my gall bladder removed. Pretty much a death sentence, there was no cure. We went to SC Oncology and I told them dying was not an option. I was told there wasn't a chemo for it. So I just told them dying was not an option. They ended up making one by using a mixture of several chemo's. I was a guinea pig but what did I have to loose. After treatments of chemo and radiation I am a survivor. In December 2005, during routine cat scan, they found a lymph node in my right abdomen and after taking it out and biopsying I again had cancer. Non Hodgkin's Lym. I again took chemo and radiation. I am a second time survivor. I believe that I am here today because if answered prayer and a positive outlook. I never let myself think about dying. I had to live to see my children grow up. Now I have four beautiful grandchildren.
I have to say I believe in the answer of millions of prayer. But my husband was with me every step of the way. He had the strength when I didn't and a love for me that had no end. I am blessed.
