For those who have had both, could you let me know if one was "better" or "worse" than the other?
I had my liver transplant Sept 22, and though initially recovering well, had a bout of CMV which went on for a long time, and over the last year struggling with poor kidney function, which is currently running at about 20%.. As I understand it, dialysis/kidney transplant might lie ahead, sometime in future. Am struggling with lack of strength, night sweats and cramps.
I'd like to understand how "hard" a kidney transplant would be for me...I am a soon-to-be 67y old woman. Grateful for any input.

I have no idea what it’s like to have a liver transplant. I am sorry that you’re going through a rough time.
From what I have read on this forum, everyone has their own experience. I’ve had a really easy time of it with my kidney transplant. I feel very grateful and thankful to God and my donor.
I have also noticed that the healthier you are before needing a transplant, the easier you have it after the transplant. I just wanna say I’m not a doctor, it’s just an observation.
