Any transplant patients experience in taking Farxia to lower blood sugar, would like to know any side effects experienced.

I am 9 years post kidney transplant, my A1C is slowly increasing.

Tried metforin several years ago, caused blood sugar to crash and blood pressure to drop.

Doc prescribed Farxia 10 mg daily, also started low carb diet a couple of weeks ago.

My nephrologist recently put me on Farxiga. I am 5 years post-transplant caused by PKD. My creatine level was creeping up, from 1.3-1.4 to 1.6. The Farxiga is to slow the degradation of the transplanted kidney over time. My creatine has been slowly decreasing and is now 1.5. He says we are playing the long game to make the transplant go as long as possible. Good luck.
