Hello...My range for WBC COUNT IS AROUND 12-13.

Normal is between 5-11

have no symptoms for an infection.

Has anyone else experienced this after transplant?

Had my transplant 2 and a half years back.

I’m 9 months post transplant and have been battling extremely low WBC count since last February. Would you care to share some of your excess WBCs with me? 😂

Hi Karan. Hope you are well. I am 3 years post transplant and my WBC has been around 9 throughout . I think it would have to be dramatically high before real problems occur but best ask the question.

Prednisone can cause WBC count to jump. Im not saying thats it for sure, but it vould be part of the problem. Probably not a bad idea to ask your doc just to make sure theres nothing hiding.

When I was on Prednisone, my WBCs were incredibly high due to a high neutrophil count. Also had horrible symptoms like low grade fevers and night sweats from the Prednisone. They ended up taking me off of it...now on a different protocol that works much better for me

I am 7 years out and have always had 11-12 for WBC count. My doctors have not ever been worried about it and I have never had any consequences. It is my normal and fluctuates a little but not much. I seem to have a variety of unique #s. My potassium has always been low and even had to argue with staff at the hospital to get me off of the renal diet and low potassium foods. I still take a supplement as needed to keep it at the low level in the range.

I have learned to watch the trends. If something is a little off and has always been that way, I and my doctors keep an eye on it and if it changes then we would get concerned or due other testing. What do your doctors say? Your post caught my attention because I have never heard of anyone else saying they had a higher level of WBC.
