Sorry you are going thru such a stressful situation.
I have no experience with what is happening with you, but assume you would be consulting with your referring physician and other medical professionals that you trust? You did not say.
Googling is panic inducing because there’s either so MUCH info that can be conflicting or not enough info to be helpful. I am hoping your doctors can better inform you about what your choices are. Best of luck to you and let us know how things go. Sorry cannot be of more help.
hi jennfer24. I’m sorry. I understand how stressful this is. The same thing happened to me a few months ago. I had a mammogram, two ultrasounds, and a biopsy. Finally they determined it was fibrous tissue. I have IGA nephrology so they figured it was connected. I was beside myself while I waited for the results. I pray you will receive good news too.
Thank you for your respond im so nervous and anxious I'm imagine the worse I hope the arent bad but if it is to be strong enough to deal with wat ever negative outcome it is ...
Hi, the exact same thing happened to me. It ended up being a small piece of hard calcium which for kidney patients can happen. I had an open biopsy and they put me asleep . Be sure to discuss saving the nipple , my doctor thought she as removing it until I told her no. Simple procedure though and hopefully just calcification.
They removed my mass a week after they found it. Maybe they do things differently in Ireland. I don’t think calcium can become cancerous. But in Ireland if they find anything in the breast they do a biopsy straight away. Why are you waiting 6 months ?
They did a biopsy it was a benign mass I have to go back in 6 months to make sure everything is still OK. What I said was that I will talk to my gp for then to remove it because I don't want it to become malignant in the future
I’m glad to hear it was benign. I suddenly saw a dark mass in my armpit and was convinced it was melanoma. Turned out to be a scab. Lesson here, don’t panic until the results come back.
I also had something in one of my milk ducts (What! I never even had kids) , That necessitated an ultrasound and the a visit with the cancer specialist. Re-checked 6 months later, hadn’t changed, it was fine, One of my friends had a a spot on her mammogram, had to have a biopsy, it was fine. We definitely go though a lot.
I was between 3 and 4 when I had a mammogram and then got called back for another. I ended up having a tubal cancer beside my left nipple. Had a lumpectomy and radiation. I didn't have any kidney issues from that.
