I had CKD.

I received a kidney from my daughter two years ago. Everything AOK ( thank you Lord)

I got my transplant at 70 years old. My doctor has scheduled an ultrasound of my native kidneys in June. Just to see how they’re doing. I never had any problems with my native kidneys. They’re still in there. I hope they’re helping, they don’t seem to be hindering. Best of luck to you.

I don't see how knowing how your old kidneys are doing would be helpful for any reason. Am I missing something?

Could you share what the cause of your kidney failure was? In some cases like PKD, naive kidneys could continue to grow cysts leading to undesirable chronic inflammation. It is not a common occurrence and if it happens doctors will be able to detect it early. So I don't think you have reasons to worry.
