Hi Lisa, my friend is suffering with kidney disease and not coping well at all. I think , as a close confidant I am unable to bear the burden of support alone

Sorry to hear that. Your friend is lucky to have you though. Kidney diseases vary and every person with one progresses differently. Her/his case isn't necessarily as bad as you or your friend thinks. Perhaps encourage him or her to seek support from a therapist to ease anxiety?

See if you can get your friend to join this forum. Many of us have had similar feelings of loss of control of our lives. It is a journey you feel alone but you are not. Hope to hear from your friend and you again. Take care.

Hi Catseyes44, The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) has a peer-to-peer mentoring program for people who need help dealing with CKD. Use the link below for more information. Good luck, and thanks for being a good friend.

Yes I agree with Marty VA see if your friend can contact the national kidney foundation, they are a great organization and very informative, they may be able to help. Blessings to you both! 🙏
