Welcome to the group I hope this is useful for you how long since your kidney transplant? and how are u doing?
Hello, sorry to replying too late. Its been a month since I got my kidney transplant. Im doing well. What about you?
Hi I'm seven months into my transplant I've had some problems but am now getting there I've spoken to several people and everyone seems to have something! Either tablet problems, hair problems, anxiety I've had it all! I've come to the conclusion that you just have to go with it and be grateful for the kidney that has been given to us.
Yes you are right. We need to be thankful for our new life.
Welcome to our community. Anytime you have any questions or concerns feel free to ask. None of us on this site are medical experts but speak from our own personal experience. Hope you are doing well! Let us know how you are doing and what immunosuppressant meds you are on. Since you are from Pakistan, would be interesting to see if there is any difference comparing it with the US.I am 21+ years post transplant and doing well

Hope you are doing well. I was out of the hospital by day 4. Very slow moving around at home. Thank goodness for my caregiver. His has been alot of help, I 'd be lost without him. Tomorrow I get my staples out! This has been one of the hardest hurdles I have ever faced, but I know it is worth it!
I am excited for you! We have been given a precious gift! Keep in touch!
Happy to hear about your successful surgery. Yeah sure we will be in touch. And will definitely try to help each other. And no doubt its a gift as i received it by my lovely wife. I lucky to have her in my life. And im thankful to to my doctors and nursing staff. They did a lot of care.
Since I asked you, I should tell you my immunosuppressant meds. For the first 5 years I took Prednisone 7.5 mg in morning. Due to side effects from this steroid I was able to wean myself off of it. I take Myfortic (name brand for Cellcept) 360 mg twice a day and Neoral (cyclosporine) 75 mg twice a day. Over time, my dose of these meds has been reduced from where I started right after my transplant.
No, I don't even know what it is....
