Swelling in Feet Post Transplant

Hi Folks, thanks for this forum. I'm 6-weeks post transplant (live donor). I have developed swelling in my right leg and foot. The surgeon told me that my lymph nodes were likely disturbed during the placement of the kidney. Sometimes they will recover after a year and sometimes not. I've been using compression socks and wearing shoes all day which really help, but it's still painful. Has anyone dealt with this and what worked to relieve the swelling?

I had swelling in my right leg too after kidney transplant. Dr found out I had lymphocele, performed lymph fluid drainage surgery , after 1 month or so the lymphocele strunk and the swelling got much better. Hope you get better soon. Take care.

Firstly congrats on the kidney! I didn't deal with a lymph node issue specifically but I was very swollen after surgery. If you haven't already I might ask about a diuretic to get rid of the excess fluid.
