A bit 'Off Topic' but I need your Help please?

Dear All,

Can I pick your Brains please Everyone? I have a, Really Fantastic, OLD Nockia phone,,,,, and I absolutely Love it😊. It is Very Simple, to use, I can Call People, Text them too and it also has a, very good, Radio. Unfortunately it does NOT have a Camera, which is a great 'pity', as I am- or was- a Bit Of A Photogapher. on the quiet.

Most 'Other Phones', that I have Looked At are FAR more Complex and have, all sorts of Features, that I DON'T Need. The was one, a few years back, called a 'Blackberry' but, I believe, that this is Not Supported any more.... guess I'm Lucky MY one is!

Can anyone suggest a 'Simple' phone, like my lovely Nokia, that is Easy To Use but also has a Camera? (Clearly I'd still 'like' the Text & Radio Functions- if, at all, possible).

Incidentally my, so called, 'Simple' Phone has one, very important button..... End Active Call, which can END any call- in other words 'They' can't Hold The Line Open on you! (a fairly frequent Scam).

I'm 'happy' to consider Second Hand, so long as the Phone is in Good Working Order, that is.

I look forward to 'hearing' from you, fellow Transplantees (I think that's right???),

Many Thanks

AndrewT

Hi AndrewT,

They no longer make "simple" phones. Ha ha. Also there are so many options that deciding is difficult.

But you can keep it all simple by not adding a lot of apps. Here are some that have decent cameras (and relatively less expensive than most what is out there)

1) Samsung Galaxy S10e (Android)

2) Google Pixel 5a (Android)

3) Motorola Moto G

4) Apple iPhone SE (more expensive)

Nokia has some phones but not sure how good their camera is

1) Nokia 1.4

2) Nokia 6300

I have personally used an older version of Motorola Moto and it worked great.

Good Luck!

Dear shash8363,

There is a very good Phone Department, in Tescos.... or I might ask in CEX, who I have Membership with- or did pre Pandemic.

OR, Of Course, I could just buy a Camera.... again in CEX.

There are phones that are geared towards elderly people that are simple, large numbered and include a camera. Check out “Jitter Bug” and TracPhones at Walmart. I hope this helps! I miss my very simple flip phone everyday. I’m now an Apple IPhone user. It took a while to get used to it, but now I like it.
