Does anyone have experience with NKR National Kidney Register (voucher) program? My husband gave a kidney for me 6 months ago and I still have no kidney from them. Anyone have history of how this works?

I don’t know the answer to your question at the moment, but it happens that I had begun researching them yesterday. My nephrologist spoke highly of them. Do you have a “difficult to match” situation?

I’m going to do some more research on them and the voucher program and get back to you if I find anything useful.

I do not have experience with them, but my husband also gave me a kidney in the donor exchange program. We were going to go have surgery at the same time. Still it took much longer than I would’ve thought to actually find me a match, but that day did come! Just hang in there. If you want, you can always call up your coordinator and ask what’s going on.
