Need some advice, this is so new and scary to me/us

My other half went into kidney failure sept of 2020, we had a live donor in 5/21 he has not sat down since the first week he’s been home. I left him alone for a week and he’s been sanding, “bonding” and getting ready to paint an old 1988 car while on his 3 month leave from work. His creatinine and GFR numbers are getting worse and I think it’s from what he’s breathing in and he thinks I’m absolutely crazy. We argue about this constantly. We have a Drs appt this Thursday for an ultra sound. I just wondered if anyone has any information or a similar situation with resources I can use to show him how dangerous this “project” is for him to be doing

He is still.on high dose of steroid at this early stage so he is probably not very "logical" or calm. Please be patient with him and discuss your concerns with his care team. I am sure the medical team's advice would be accepted more easily by him.

I agree with Lisa snow I believe nothing is too small or too big or too minor or trivial to talk with your transplant team you rather be safe than sorry. And I also believe that he will be more receptive hearing it from his transplant team. He will be fine just give him a little time be patient…. Good luck!!😊

How is he doing? Has he agreed to slow down? High dose steroid can give users a false sense of high energy but soon enough the clinical team will taper it down to a lower dose. Be patient.

Until his steroid dose is regulated he ‘can’t’ slow down, or have a well-thought out conversation. As a person who is very sensitive to steroids I know. I would call his team now not wait for an appointment. Sometimes the medication reaction can spiral.
