Creatinine 1.92

I just celebrated 15 years with my kidney and it was a cadaver and has served me well. I lately haven’t had a taste for drinking water and have been drinking the Pierre Fusion drinks with mineral water and juice flavors. I must say I’m a bit laidback, but I take my medicine on time at the same time every day and get enough sleep. I had my labs done and received the results with my creatinine at a level of 1.92. I go to the doctor tomorrow. But I rather hear it from y’all. Am I getting close to my kidneys shutting down and I go on dialysis? I am very scared!

I think we can only view your creatinine in context. Is that a huge increase for you or just about normal. As for not drinking water my transplant department encourages me to drink pretty much anything as long as it's liquid.

My creatinine has been on the down swing for a while, but never this high. I’m due to get it checked in six more weeks.

Ok - best of luck! FWIW mine has ranged between 1.0 and 1.8 in the eleven years since my transplant. I'm told it's normal and I'm finding it's mostly a function of hydration.
