Hi!

Its been 10 years since my last kidney transplant. I have been transplanted twice , and i have recently got married . Hope pregnancy wont be challenging and things will be smooth when i plan a baby

You really should talk to your nephrologist and a genetic counselor.

Congratulations for your transplant and wedding! I know at least 1 member here who has successfully given birth after transplant so I know it is not uncommon. Hopefully she will chime in soon!

I had my daughter 5 years after my first kidney transplant, it was 23 years ago, I had eclampsia at 29 weeks and had a c section, she weighed 2lbs 3oz and was in hospital 5 weeks. She had no issues and is now a very normal 23 year old.

Before you start trying you really need to chat it through with your team, some of the medications we take can be toxic so need adjusting or changing.
