I am a year and half post transplant and on Cellcept and Belatacept. Does anyone else have any joint pains that seem new or worse since transplant? i am 42 and exercise regularly (and haven't changed routine) - I know some changes are age but this will be multiple joints (elbows, knees) hurting at once...

Aches and pains?
I had my transplant almost 6 months ago, am 27 years old, and I also have some aches and pains. I notice it more when I have done a lot that day, like right now I feel sore in a lot of places but I deep cleaned my house today. I'm on a different version of Cellcept; never heard of Belatacept but I looked it up and joint pain is one of the listed side effects for that. I wonder if Icy Hot or Epsom Salt baths might help?
Hey Jennie. I’m 21 months post op and I also am 42. I brought this same issue up with my renal team about a month ago. Normally 12 months post op your team are supposed to order a bone density scan as the immunosuppressants can cause problems with absorbing calcium and other vital vitamins and minerals. So I am being sent for one as soon as an appointment is available. I have lost quite a bit of weight and thought that would be better for my joints and OMG the pain is more severe than it was at my highest weight. I sometimes wake up crying with the pain and nothing seems to ease it and I take opioids. Please talk to your team as soon as you can and please keep me updated xxx
I had my transplant 14 months ago. I am 53 years old and I find my joints hurt and ache often. More so recently during the cold and damp NY weather. I take over the counter pain reliever once in a while but it doesn't seem to help much. Luckily it's not debilitating.
I have only since transplant. doctors told me it from prednesone after 8 yrs. Fractured my pelvis over the summer cutting grass over rough tree roots. Knee & hip hurts also
