One year post transplant

I have certainly learned a lot and sure feel so much better overall. Some struggles with keeping weight down. My appetite was so depressed pre transplant that it was easy to lose weight. Not now!

Biggest takeaway. The medical community is so advanced in the last few decades.

My son was my donor. I was lucky to have avoided dialysis completely and was so impressed with my care at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center.

Yes, the weight struggles are understood here. I saw a dietitian, bumped up my exercise regimen and starting to see some results. I am 25 months out and my pretransplant weight was much lower. I gained thirty pounds so it is a test. Good luck on your continued course of success....
