Hello, anybody using Ranitidine tab? . As i am using rantac 150mg for almost from 10 month and recent precautionary Recall of Ranitinide by sandoz according to FDA usa guideline. is there any one who change their medicine after guidline.

Hi! I am on Ranitidine and my doctor just called earlier that yes there is a recall so they are switching me to famotidine until its clear.
I take Ranitidine, but just once in a while. (3 and a half yrs transplant) I am going to call my doctor to switch me to Famotidine. I bought Pepcid Ac yesterday (10 mgs) over the counter. Transplant team said I can take 20mgs. Wanted to try low dose. I had indigestion yesterday, and it didn't work that well. The Pharmacist said 20 would work better, which I already knew that. I just wanted to do low dose. It is cheaper to get the Famotidine prescription, than over the counter. Maybe you can ask your doctor for that, like Trouper said.
