The only treatments for kidney failure, unfortunately, are dialysis and transplant. There are several forms of dialysis you can choose from, but all are taxing on the body the longer you’re on it. The best and most long lasting treatment is a transplant which also give you back your quality of life with very few modifications. There is no cure, and transplants tend to last about 10-15 years depending on your health and why your kidney failed in the first place.

Hope this is helpful.

Why would you NOT want a kidney transplant? I am living well 19+ years after a kidney transplant. Why are you reluctant?

Stem cell therapy is a better. With stem cell therapy they try to repair your own kidneys and make it working again like before. This is recommended by doctors all over the world.

It isn’t offered all over the world as stated because it doesn’t work for all patients and isn’t widely available. It’s completely dependent on the extent of damage that has been done to the kidney, most are too damaged to regenerate. Also, last time I looked it isn’t covered by insurance so it would have to come out of your pocket if you can find a place and if it’s viable for you

Do read this first....

Dialysis and transplant are recomended in the uk. Dialysis keeps us healthy until a doner is available.

The kidney doner list worked for me.

Would recommend this path having been through it myself.

Best wishes,

Mgt

Not sure why you wouldnt want a transplant if its possible. Theres little you can do bar dialysis and transplant unless you want to die im afraid . Jo x

New on transplant list.
