I’m on waiting list for transplant but right now I’m doing PD dialysis. That is going well. As routine as it is to do it 5 days out of 7 and at night while sleeping is so good. But a transplant would be wonders! So I am going through the evaluation process right now and my sister has volunteered and if accepted I can get a healthy kidney from her.

Nevertheless, the road is long and it takes patience. Which I have a lot of. But sometimes things don’t go the way you want them to. For instance one last huge test the Stone Center at NJ wanted me to do was to check my heart. See if my heart can handle the stress of a surgical procedure for a transplant. Yesterday I did just that.

A catheter was insert into the heart with X-ray and video to see the heart. They found three blockages. But detected early was good since they’re fixable. With the dye they used can damage the kidney if too much. So next time they will go in and fix the blockage.

Now this delay is better than anything because first due to the kidney evaluation I am lucky to look at the heart and find this problem before it even got worst (Ex:heart attack, stroke). I would like to think having this kidney evaluation somewhat saved my live and the cardiologist says he can do it to fix my blockage in few weeks.

After some time for heart to work and get strong I will be able to do the transplant in near future. So first, I am going to take care of my heart before I take care of my kidneys. At least dialysis is helping me be healthier and happier!

God is great! And works mysteriously in a way if I didn’t have this evaluation I would’ve never known about the blockage! Whew! What a ride!
