HOPE

What's your favorite way to keep up hope when you wait for a kidney? It's so easy for my husband to explore dark sides while waiting? Facing mortality and wondering whether a donor will EVER BE APPROVED? We are thankful churches are opening back up, that's how I learn from my parents and his parents. Church, faith, a higher being has kept them strong and positive their whole lives.

Hello NeedingAdonor - I am sorry we haven't shared with you since this post. While I am not a patient or care partner for sometone with kidney disease, I'd like to offer you a few resources that may bring some hope.

The Big Ask, the Big Give videos here: kidney.org/transplantation/...

NKF's Peer Program - where you connect with others dealing with the same issues (like this community, but via phone calls): kidney.org/patients/peer

Finally, I encourage you to post this question in one of the other kidney communities where you may find more people who are facing the wait for a kidney transplant: healthunlocked.com/nkf-dial...

All the best to you and your husband.
