Twitching pain in stomach
I'm very sorry you are going through this, Jan. I am not an MD, but I did read an article about post-nephrectomy pain, and the incidence even after 6 months was only about 4%. So, if you're 2 years post op and still suffering pain, you are really unlucky. I'm imagining you have talked to the nephrologists who did the operation--I'm wondering if you should go to another nephrologist or nephrology group for other possible insights and hopefully some remedy. Good luck--I know this must be as frustrating as it is painful, and I hope you find some answers!
I had some minor twitching pain at the site of my missing kidney - I was told it was "Phantom" pains - but doesn't sound as severe as yours.....
Hi Jan1317. I call them "ghost pains" or "Phantom pains". (I'm not a Dr.- just a donor). Even 10 years later I will get some numbness and tingling. It will get better- nothing to worry about. Feel better soon.
